Charity Commission Keynote

May 2009

It has been announced that Patrick is to give the Keynote Speech at a conference on service being hosted by the Charity Commission later this year.

 

Patrick said, “I am delighted both that the Charity Commission has organised this event and that I have been asked to give the keynote address. It is great to see a public body such as the commission putting such emphasis on service. This event is evidence of how seriously they take service and sets a great example to the rest of the public sector.”

Cambridge Seminar Notes Online

May 2009

Notes from Patrick’s seminar at Cambridge University last month are now available on line. The focus of the seminar was on inclusive design, in particular the emotional qualities of design.

 

You can see the notes here.

 

After the success of the seminar, the University has invited Patrick to return to Cambridge to explore future research collaborations.

'Made in Brunel' Article

May 2009

Patrick has contributed an article to the book ‘Made in Brunel’ which showcases the work of Brunel Design students and which will be launched at the University’s degree show next month.

 

Patrick’s article describes the secrets of creating successful products services and brands.

 

Patrick has a long association with Brunel University, giving regular guest lectures and delivering the Keynote Address at the degree show two years ago.

 

He said, I am delighted to be associated with design at Brunel. The quality of both the teaching and the research that goes on there is tremendous and the students graduate with a through understanding of how to design products and services that will be both a pleasure to use and a success in the marketplace.”

Social Marketing Event

May 2009

It has been announced that Patrick will be an invited speaker at a social marketing event organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Patrick has extensive experience in this area and has worked with the UK government on a number of social issues including health, crime and education.
