The Dream Economy
August 2007
A new article by Patrick called ‘The Dream Economy’ has recently been published in the prestigious academic journal Co-Design. It looks at how the rules for market success have changed in recent years and at what companies need to do in order to win over customers and maintain a sustainable competitive advantage.
He has also created a talk on this topic. If you would like a copy of the article please get in touch and we will e-mail you a copy.
Education Project Complete
August 2007
Patrick has been consulting on a project for the UK Department for Education and Skills. This has involved creating scenarios for the development of entrepreneurship and other skills and attitudes that students need in order to thrive in the business environment of the future.
Pat’s findings have been well-received are currently being taken forward for implementation in informing curriculum policy and planning.
Driving Project Underway
August 2007
Pat is currently consulting on a European project looking at driving safety, the design of in-car technology and advanced driver assistance systems. This project is being run by Chalmers University, Gothenburg in collaboration with Volvo.
The project is already underway and he will act as an external advisor to the team over a two-year period.
International Lecture Tour Completed
August 2007
Patrick is now back in the UK after an international lecture tour. It took in ten different countries and 35 events including conference keynotes, workshops, seminars and corporate symposia. It also involved substantial media work. This comprised TV, radio and newspaper interviews and the filming of a 30 minute documentary about him that was broadcast in Korea.
The tour was rated a great success by both organisers and delegates, grossing substantial revenues, generating positive publicity and receiving consistently excellent ratings in feedback. For more information about the content of the lectures see the talks page.
